NahRight and John Public dissect the influence of music on our kids and the argument of art imitating life vs. life imitating art. Stay tuned for a mixtape John Public will be doing in conjunction with NahRight inspired entirely by the NahMean episodes they have done thus far.

You can check out 2 songs from the tape here.

“Kids today are influenced by many different factors, with media, friends, parents and personal interest at the forefront. In our fourth episode, we wanted to look at the push and pull relationship music and culture share with each other and it’s ultimate influence on people (specifically today’s youth). We spoke with people entrenched in the genre of hip-hop, as well as some teens that offered their candid opinions on how music affects them. To offer your commentary, get over to NahRight.com or facebook.com/johnpublicmusic. Be on the look for the mixtape John Said: NahMean debuting with our fifth episode in late Feb 2010.”

All Star, also known as Starlito is working with DJ Burn One on a mixtape titled Renaissance Gangster due out the day after Valentines Day (February 15th). We’ve been blasting that Yelawolf Trunk Muzik mixtape lately and this song was produced by DJ Burn One (who presented Trunk Muzik) and ultimately led us to this find.

We really suggest you burn one like the DJ and cool out to this shit. It’s that type of music you puff and ride out to on a chill summer night. We look forward to hearing more. Nashville, Tennessee we see you. Salutes to BLVDST.

We usually wouldn’t give this stuff the light of day, but considering Washington’s face strikes an almost clone-like, carbon copy resemblance to the Pop singer’s face.. it makes for a good laugh.

We’ve seen 9th Wonder remix plenty of stuff throughout his career. From Nas to The Black Album to plenty of mixtapes in between. Word to the entire mixtape though, 9th shines more on the R&B tracks. Remember the Destiny Child joints he produced? (see: “Girl” “Is She The Reason” and “Game Over“) — Them shits were absolute fire.

9th Wonder Invented The Remix (Again) features remixes from Kanye West, Common, Babyface, Method Man, Ghostface, Little Brother, Twista, Nas, Heavy D and more.

We saw Pill saying he would leak something earlier and word is bond because he just unleashed something off his upcoming 1140: The Overdose mixtape. Last year we saw him drop 4180: The Prescription and 4175: The Refill on his way to finishing off 2009 on a high note. Catch up if you’re still under a rock. Expect Pill to make even more noise in 2010.
